Activism and environmental change: film screening and book launch with Adrian Fisk
In keeping with our interests in finding creative ways to address sustainability issues, Dr Charlotte Lee is pleased to welcome photographer, author and film-maker Adrian Fisk to St Andrews this November.
Adrian will be screening his recent documentary JUSTNORTH, which documents the ways in which different communities around the Arctic are coming to terms with climate change and the steadily increasing influence of global social and economic forces. The following day, Adrian will be launching his new book Until the Last Oak Falls: British direct action environmental protests 1995-1999. This collection of photographs of direct environmental action during the 1990s shines a light on the roots of present-day activist movements.
